Videotron Analog Service

Videotron has announced that analog TV service will be discontinued sometime in November 2016. Analog service feeds televisions without a digital illico terminal.

This change will certainly affect the television in the gym. Similarly, any TV in your condo that is not connected to an illico terminal will no longer receive a signal once the signal is discontinued.

Our front door cameras are also analog, so they may be affected as well. We will be discussing alternatives for this prior to the change.

Service analogue Vidéotron

Vidéotron a annoncé que le service de télévision analogique sera abandonné dans le courant de novembre 2016.  Le service analogique nourrit les télévisions qui ne possèdent pas de terminal numérique illico.

Ce changement affectera sans aucun doute la télévision du gymnase.  De même,  toute télévision dans votre logement qui n’est pas non connectée à un terminal digital illico ne recevra plus de signal dès que le signal analogique sera interrompu.

Nos caméras de porte d’entrée sont également analogiques, donc elles peuvent être affectées aussi.  Nous discuterons d’autres possibilités à envisager, et ce, avant la date du changement.

Balcons / Balconies

La semaine dernière, nous avons livré à vos portes une lettre relative aux retouches à porter à vos balcons.

Si vous avez besoin de retouches à vos balustrades  ou pour tout autre travail, tel que la réfection du revêtement de sol, veuillez envoyer votre formulaire au plus tard le dimanche 28 août.

Une grande partie de ce travail doit être fait avant que la température ne chute en deçà de 8 degrés, donc  nous devons finaliser les dates aussitôt que possible.

Last week we dropped a letter at your door about balconies.

If you need your railings to be touched up or other work such as resurfacing the floor, please send in your form by this Sunday, August 28^th.

Much of this work needs to be done before the temperature drops below 8 degrees so we need to finalize the schedule ASAP.

According to this article, average condo fees on the island of Montreal for concrete buildings was $309 for the period ended April 2016. There is also a differentiator regarding parking spots. The average fee for a condo with a parking spot in Montreal was $358.

Our average condo fee is $323.61 but that includes cable TV and we have an indoor pool. If we subtract cable from our fee, our average fees are below $299. We also have many condos with more than 1 parking spot.

The article goes on to say that the year of construction is important as expenses rise as a building gets older. For the study they did, the average age of the buildings was 20 years. Based on an overall average, condo fees for buildings built before the year 2000 were $30 more than for those built after.
