Co-owner Questions

Hello all !

In Marcel & Diane time, it used to smell very good all the time in the hall, corridors and even the elevators. How come not anymore ? Last week, it smelled so strong like javel was used to wash the floors ... awfull how the smell was !!!

Furthermore, there were no more cups to drink water at the gym today. Why wait at the last minute to order more ?

Also, about the annual flowers, why not consider buying some perennial every year to SAVE considerable money over the years ? We would save on flowers and time !!!

During Marcel and Dianne's time they would feed a fragrance into the ventilation system. After they left, their successors tended to use too much and we started getting complaints about how overpowering the scent was. After trying to correct the situation a few times and with new supers coming and going, it became difficult to get it going properly. After awhile, it was just put aside.

Now that we have some stability with Abdel & Jasmine, We'll speak to Bogie about starting it up again.

As for no cups to drink water in the gym, that was probably because of the long weekend and people being off. However, we have limited access to the office for security reasons so that may have contributed as well. Although I can't say for sure, there have been times that we have been out of water and couldn't get to it because the office door was locked.

As for flowers, we did actually invest in perennials last year.

Actually considering allergies, I don't mind the lact of fragrance in the ventilation system

How about dirty floors in the gym, pool, lobby, dirty stains on the carpet near superintendent apartment. Lack of fragrance is the least of the problems it seems...

Question to Directors/Bogie

Having listened all day and up until 8 pm today Sunday May 29th, hammering from renovations on the 6th floor Phase I, what are the rules and times allowed for renovation activities?

Given the building is over 20 years old, it is normal people are renovating. What is not consistent is that some co-owners seem to get away without notifying neighbors, cleaning up carpets and respecting the allowed start & finish times, dumping their materials in the garage etc... Since this started over the weekend, no one from the Administartion was around. Is it the obligation of the co-owner when there is major work to notify the manager of Les Cascades?

I would think that a reminder of the rules be sent out or atleast followed up on by the Manager.

Thanks

Apologies for the late response.

We have taken note of your comment. It has been forwarded to the maintenance committee.
