Last night, the board of directors has voted to renovate our elevators and we need someone with a flair for design to help us pick style and colours. If you have good taste and a flair for design please contact the office.
We can use your help.

Perhaps, before spending 'our' hard earned money on renovating the elevators, this budget should be directed towards painting hallways,(which are looking worn and drab) and repair cracks in the mortar on the exterior of the building to reduce heat loss in each condo.
Thanks for your comment.
In fact, after years of delays, renovation of our elevators was an important commitment in our budget for this year. The fact is they are really banged up now - particularly in PH2.
In addition to renovating the cabs, we are also currently investigating a PANA40 closing system to replace the doors' electric eyes as they no longer function and currently pose a safety risk.
As for the corridors, we are very aware of their current state. The fact is we would like to redo the corridors completely including the walls, carpets, and lighting with an overall design much like we did with the pool building.
Obviously that will be expensive but it is in our budget for 3 years from now. If it happens that we can do it sooner, we will.
By the way, we will be steam-cleaning the carpets again within the next week or so.
Appreciate your response regarding the planned budget for the hallways, albeit 3 years away, and the need to renovate the elvators, particularly if there is a safety issue.
However, not addresed are the repairs necessary to cracks in the mortar on the exterior of the building to prevent condo heat loss.
Actually, that's not exactly correct. We have recently done some brick and mortar work on the area near the party room.
We are also gearing up for a job on the bricks on the north-east corner of PH1 between the 2nd and 3rd floor.
Beyond that we are planning for significant repairs to the bricks, mortar, and caulking 2 to 3 years down the road. Since this will be about 10 to 12 years after the major brick work that was done in 2001-2002, it will be time to ensure matters don't deteriorate.
One more point. All of your comments are being identified as having come from anonymous. Normally, we would not publish anonymous comments but because yours have been thoughtful and relevant, we have allowed them.

Thanks,
I'm pleased to know that work is planned for the exterior of the building, (bricks, mortar and caulking). As well, I am certain that all co-owners will be happy to hear any problems related to above, such as heat loss, will be resolved.
Regarding the need to 'sign in' prior to posting a comment:

This "anonymous" person sound very familiar ... I think it is someone who always knows the "truth", and is always very truthful ... I used to know one person like this...
Thank you. Appreciate the compliment.
