Internet Group

Dear member,

Our internet group is now in its ninth year. In that time, technology has progressed to the point that the constraints of our current plan are an issue for many members. It particularly affects people who use services such as Netflix or other streaming services. We recently had one member receive an invoice from Videotron for $193 for one month with the majority being for exceeding the internet limits of our plan. We have also recently lost members as what is offered was inadequate for their needs.

Clearly, we cannot agree to similar parameters if we sign another contract. Therefore, we contacted Videotron about the possibility of immediately upgrading our current plan. This was their proposal which we can implement as soon as we agree:
Proposal

% Increase
Capacity - GB
400

340
567%
Download Speed - MB
30
10
20
200%

900%

To summarize, the upgraded service would provide 400 GB of capacity vs. 60 GB in our existing plan; a download speed increase of 3 times; and an upload speed increase of 10 times. Their proposal would cost an extra $1.65 per month ($1.90 after tax) or $22.77 per year. The annual increase would be 1.6% vs. 1.8% for our current plan.

We will attempt to negotiate a better deal if enough members are in favour of the upgrade. If we do decide to go ahead, members may receive an invoice from Les Cascades for the difference for the months until next January (which would be a maximum of approximately $13).

Next January, we may take the opportunity to also change the timing of membership renewal to something that is consistent with the new agreement.

with our current plan they have a 25 gig a month add on which is $5. currently I use three of them so for me its an extra 15 a month for 75 gigs. and that makes our current deal with videotron expensive for me vs alternative choices. so yes I would like that new upgrade ASAP
