Emergency Keys

We are tightening our policy regarding the safekeeping of keys that are stored in the office.

The keys to our condos that are stored in the office are only to be used in case of emergency. If a resident needs a favour from our supers such as taking care of mail during an absence, to check their condos while on vacation, or to do special work, the resident should provide the super with a separate set of keys.

Supers and other members of the administration may enter a condo alone in the case of a time-sensitive event such as a health, fire, or flood emergency. However, supers and any member of the administration must be accompanied by a second person from the administration if it is necessary to enter a condo in a non-emergency situation such as when we must test all the fire alarm heat sensors during the annual inspection.

This rule only applies to the emergency keys stored in the office and does not apply to keys that residents provide separately to our supers or other members of the administration.

Thank you for your co-operation,
