C2 Garage Project

Minutes of the Special Garage Meeting – 2018-07-31

Schedule

·         Contractor will start to move equipment in C2 at 7:00AM Monday (2018-08-06)

·         All cars must be out of the garage when the contractor starts.

·         Cars left in the garage and obstructing progress will be towed at the resident’s expense

·         All spots must be cleared of shopping carts and whatever else may be stored there.

·         The C2 garage project is due to end in the middle of October.

Place Vertu

·         We have an agreement for parking at Place Vertu

·         The contract is signed

·         People will be able to move their cars to Place Vertu on Sunday evening or earlier if necessary

·         A map will be provided indicating where people may park. (On the blog)

·         It is possible that the allowed parking area may change over the course of the project

·         Each car must have an parking permit approved by the Manager on its dashboard

o   Permits will be delivered before they are required to your front door or your mailbox.

·         Although Place Vertu has security cameras, they are not responsible for losses that may occur.

·         You should confirm that your insurance policy covers you while parked there.

·         Leave valuable items in your car at your own risk

Access

·         Lockers will be accessible almost always throughout the construction period.

·         There may be a few days where lockers on G1 may not be accessible when the new membrane is drying.

·         The bicycle room will not be accessible without an escort from an authorized person.

·         If you use your bicycle regularly, we recommend storing your bicycle in your locker.

·         Bicycles will have to be carried up and down the stairwell and out the front door.

        o   We may decide to allow bicycles to be transported in a padded elevator.

·         Garbage will be as usual except for a limited time where garbage containers will have to be located outside.

·         Recycling bins will be outside for the duration.

·         Moving will have to be through the front door and will be closely monitored.

Mobility Reduced People

·         Mobility reduced people will be assigned visitors’ parking spots in both C1 and C2 for the duration of the project.

·         We will identify each reserved spot so that visitors do not park there in error.

·         There will be no visitors parking in our buildings from August 5, 2018 Evening until October 2018.
