Sonore Alarme, enfin! – Alarm Bell, Finally

Après des mois d'évaluations, nos bâtiments ont finalement été certifiés comme étant en mesure de soutenir la technologie sonnette d'alarme que nous avions choisi l'an dernier.

En guise de dédommagement pour le retard, nous avons également été offert un généreux rabais si nous pouvions augmenter substantiellement le nombre d'appartements pour laquelle nous souhaitons ajouter la sonnette. À l'heure actuelle, la quantité minimale spécifiée ne semble pas réaliste pour nous, mais nous allons fournir plus d'informations lorsque nous finaliser la transaction


After months of evaluations our buildings have finally been certified as being able to support the alarm bell technology we had selected last year.

As compensation for the delay, we have also been offered a generous discount if we were to substantially increase the number of apartment units for which we wish to order. At the moment, the minimum quantity specified does not seem realistic for us however we will provide more information when we finalize the deal.

S'il vous plaît se joindre à nous pour souhaiter la bienvenue à Abdel et Jasmine nos nouveaux surintendants pour la PH1. Ils viennent à nous avec des années d'expérience en tant que figurants, ils ont le désir de travailler, et nous sommes bien heureux d'être avec eux.

Please join us in welcoming Abdel and Jasmine our new superintendents for PH1. They come to us with years of experience as supers, are eager to work, and are happy to be with us.

Although they start work on Monday, Nov 29, 2010 they will only be able move into their apartment when it is vacated later in December.

Who chooses what is posted?

Posting topics rests with the Board of Directors. Information will be general in nature and not mention specific units or names. We want to permit the co-owners who wish to have information a quick access to it.

Are posts bilingual?

Initially, they may not be but translation will be added very soon thereafter. If a comment is posted requiring a response, the answer will be in the language of the original comment.

How Do I Know That Something Has Been Posted to the Blog?

The easiest way is to subscribe to the blog. Use the E-mail subscription box on the left side of the screen.

What if a resident does not have internet access?

The purpose of this Blog is to make information available to as many people as possible. It’s not meant as a notification or announcement site. We plan to print copies of various posts during the month to make them available to residents without computers or internet access.

I posted a comment but I don’t see it.

This is because posts are moderated. The Board has no intention of blocking people from voicing their opinions. However we wish to ensure that proper respect and appropriate language is used by the participants.

I posted a question but have not received an answer

When official posts are made, they are automatically sent to all subscribers. Comments are only viewable when we log onto the Blog directly. We will try to ensure regular updates. If you have questions the best and fastest method of getting answers is by contacting the office.

The answer you posted to my question was vague and evasive.

The Blog is meant as a communications tool to provide an overview of events in the building. However it is a public forum and we do not wish to provide more detail than is necessary to individuals without an interest in our buildings As always, you may contact the office if you wish further information or have a specific question.

There are projects that I would like to see completed. Why are they not being done?

This is a concern best addressed to the manager. Ultimately, everything is a priority and we must choose an order in which to do things and where to place them in the budget. Rest assured that we wish the building to be the best that it can be and are working to do as much as possible while looking at ways to not increase costs.

Nouvelles sur Nos Employées - Staff News

Ngoc Robertson, our bookkeeper is going in for surgery on November 16th and will be off for a few weeks while she recovers.

In the interim, we are pleased that Christine Pepin, our former bookkeeper, has agreed to help us out for one day per week.

We wish Ngoc a speedy recovery.

Infiltration d'Eau PH 2–G1 / Water Infiltration PH2–G1






Pour ceux qui se demande par rapport a l'infiltration d'eau dans le garage PH2, nous croyons avoir trouvé la cause.

Samedi le 6 novembre 2010 nous avons eu deux personnes qui travaillent sur la fuite en PH2 G1, ils l'ont fait du bon travail et nous sommes certains que le problème est résolu.

Nous avons découvert que le trou de fondation dans le gros tuyau n'est pas étanche à tous et actuellement nous avons pu voir le jardin extérieur de l'intérieur de la garage.

Voici quelques photos afin que vous puissiez voir ce qui se fait.

Un grand merci à notre gestionnaire de l'immeuble, Bogie, pour avoir venu en dehors des heures de travaille pour superviser les travaux.


For those who have been wondering about the water infiltration into the PH2 garage, we believe we have found the cause.

On Saturday, Nov 6, 2010 we had two people working on the leakage in PH2 G1, they did good job and we are certain sure the problem is solved.

We have discovered that the hole in foundation around the big pipe was not sealed at all and actually looking from the garage we were able to see the garden outside.

Here some pictures so you can see what was done.

Many thanks to our building manager, Bogie, for coming in on off hours to oversee the work.

Vérification des cartes d'accès – Audit of Access Cards

La vérification des cartes d'accès a commencé avec l'objectif de désactivation des cartes qui ne sont plus valables. Nous avons imprimé une lettre datée du 30 Octobre 2010, et des listes de cartes pour les 199 condos dans nos bâtiments.

La distribution initiale sera par étapes. Les 4 premiers étages ont reçu leur rapports et des instructions et ont commencé à la rétroaction de leurs résultats.Après ces 4 étages, nous évaluerons le rythme avec lequel nous allons continuer. De façon réaliste, nous ne prévoyons pas d'avoir la tâche à réaliser avant la fin de Mars l'année prochaine.


The audit of access cards has begun with the objective of deactivating cards which are no longer valid. We have printed a cover letter dated October 30, 2010 and lists of cards for the 199 condos in our buildings.

The initial distribution will be in stages. The first 4 floors have received their reports and instructions and have started to feedback their results.After these 4 floors we will evaluate the pace with which we will continue. Realistically, we do not expect to have the task completed before the end of March next year.

Air Climatisé/ Air Conditioning

Le conseil d'administration et la gestion vous informent que votre climatiseur d’air dans votre unité doit être arrêté pour la saison d’hiver. Il est important de ne pas servir de la climatisation car les tours de refroidissement sont arrêtés : cela peut causer des dommages coûteux à votre unité.

Aussi, changez le thermostat au mode chauffage et la climatisation sera réglée dans votre unité pour l’hiver.

The Board of Directors and management wish to inform everyone that the air conditioning units have been shut down for the winter months. It is important that you not use your AC unit as you may cause costly damage to the unit while the cooling towers are off.

Switching your unit to heat and adjusting the thermostat will provide heat for the coming months.
